Neda Kovacevic, MD is a Board Certified in General Psychiatry and Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry (psychiatry of medically ill) and has experience in and passion for treating diverse adult patient population with particular interest in young (and young at heart) adults and professionals struggling with mental health issues ranging from depression and anxiety disorders, mood and trauma disorders, personality and interpersonal relationship struggles to psychosomatic and eating disorders and psychological issues related to chronic/acute medical illness. She is a clinical assistant professor at GWU School of Medicine.
She approaches every patient with empathy, compassion and scientific curiosity enabling her to develop individualized and evidence-based treatment plans. Although prescriptions for stimulants and opioid based medications will not be utilized, other safer and effective alternatives can and will be explored. Dr. Kovacevic has limited number of hours she can meet with you, with some availability on the weekends.
