Anger Management

Anger is a natural human emotion, the consequence of an individual’s evaluation and interpretation process, and internal emotion expressing one’s aggressiveness to a particular target – often using physical or verbal aggression.

Anger is oftenawakenedby frustration or interpersonal conflict; understanding the stimulants and identifying potentially harmful thinking are keys to properly managing anger.

Groups

Kemet hosts weekly group sessions that focus on the core issues of Anger Management. The focus is on learning new response skills when beginning to feel anger.

  • Self Development: calming your emotions, understanding the triggers, identify negative thinking, implanting forgiveness, improving communication, and learning to deal with different interpersonal situations
  • Shattered Relationships: families, friendships, professional and personal development, court charges and consequences, feelings of depression and guilt
  • Requirements for Court, Employment: certification process meeting court mandated requirements, employment programs (EAP), probation, or previous sentencing

Our Anger Management Counseling services are provided by Certified Anger Management Specialist (CAMS-1) who are also member of the National Anger Management Association (NAMA), the international professional association for the field of Anger Management.
